Production and sale of electricity

“Mugan HPS (Hydroelectric Power Station)” OJSC is situated in Mazrali village of Imishli region and is the unique enterprise generating green electric power in the south region of Azerbaijan. Mugan HPS was constructed on Mugan water channel in 1962. General operational capacity of the station is 4.5 MW. The station remaining out of operation for a long time was privatized in 2003 and began to operate after capital repairs. Projection works are presently being conducted for the purpose of increasing operational capacity up to 6 MW.
General energy system of Azerbaijan, “Bahramtapa-Chingil” OJSC, “Imishli Demir-Beton” (Imishli Reinforced Concrete) OJSC is supplied with energy produced in Mugan HPS via 6 kW transformer yard belonging to the station. Annual production volume is 14-18 million kWh.
